The Celebration of Sanga in Kyoto

The KyoKane co.Ltd is a company in Kyoto that realizes traditional and unforgettable Kimono items for Japanese style wedding and cerimonies crafted from 100% authentic kimono fabric.

Last 19th december the company re-enacted a 1200 years ago ceremony called “Celebration of longevity”.

They worked about reconstruction for more than a 10 years

This is a dynasty ceremony “Celebration of Sanga” that celebrates longevity 1200 years ago.

The first ceremony was celebrated by Emperor Shomu at the age of 40 in the Nara period. Hikaru Genji was also congratulated by the Emperor and Empress at the age of 40. The emperor awarded a pigeon cane as a symbol of longevity.They holded at the head temple of the Shingon-shu Sennyuji Temple, which is the most prestigious temple in the Imperial family.

 

The “Celebration of Sanga” would like to invoke for healthy life expectancy with happiness, and to celebrate the shiningody and spirit.

It is at this time that they sincerely hope that everyone will start a new life with dreams and hopes.
