Crafting Connections: Florence at Saudi Handicraft Week

Project Description

The Saudi Heritage Commission invited us to identify and accompany a selected group of Italian artisans to Riyadh for the Banan – Saudi International Handicraft Week. The aim of the event was to promote traditional craftsmanship from Saudi Arabia and around the world, fostering mutual growth and cultural exchange. Leveraging our extensive network, we curated a diverse delegation representing Italian excellence in ceramics, silverwork, hat-making, leather bags, and woodcraft.

Our role was not only to connect these artisans with a new international audience, but also to ensure they could present their work with confidence and clarity, overcoming cultural, logistical, and linguistic barriers. The artisans gained unique visibility in a previously untapped market, exploring new business opportunities with institutional support. On the other hand, the Saudi organizers were able to rely on a trusted partner to access genuine Made in Italy craftsmanship, enriched by a contemporary and innovative approach.
