LIFE BEYOND TOURISM TAKES MADE IN ITALY IN CHINA STARTING FROM THE CULTURE OF THE TERRITORY

 

GREAT SUCCESS FOR TUSCANY AND FLORENCE AT THE CIFTIS OF BEIJING

 Culture and industry at the Ciftis 2019 thanks to the Center for International Studies and Meetings and to the Life Beyond Tourism Movement which brought the excellences of Made in Italy to the Chinese capital.

Culture is a business card for 20 Italian companies that presented themselves at Ciftis, the third most important trade fair in China, which has just concluded in Beijing. These were the days rich in meetings and events, conferences and presentations in which companies installed contacts and presented their activity to the international market.

 

The companies affiliated with the Life Beyond Tourism Movement have had the privilege of going to China and being the only Italian companies at the most important fair in Beijing, and were able to exhibit the typical features of their territory and present their history to the international network.

 

Italian craftsmen and cultural heritage have always been in fact the main attraction for the Asian market, which represented the majority of exhibitors at the fair, who could see the excellences of Made in Italy for the first time.

 

This was an opportunity of great cultural and commercial value and an opportunity to participate in numerous meetings and conferences at which the Life Beyond Tourism Movement, together with its affiliated companies, was present in the role of a speaker.

Among the most interesting presentations was the Florence Promoting Conference meeting within the program of the “2019 China International Fair For Trade in Services International Cities Cultural Dialogue Summit Forum” which took place on May 30 at the Beijing National Convention Center, during which the Italian companies, members of the Life Beyond Tourism Movement, presented themselves to institutions, media and possible buyers.

In the framework of the event, an official agreement between SCPC (Search for Culture Power Committee) and Life Beyond Tourism was signed for the official launch of the CHINA MEETS EUROPE IN FLORENCE program through which Florence becomes a strategic European center for the internationalization thanks to the worldwide Life Beyond Tourism network and the use of the Palazzo Coppini Study Center and the ICLAB space, chosen to be the strategic center for meetings with interlocutors from across Europe.

 

In front of local media, national TV and institutions, the Life Beyond Tourism Movement has also signed the five-year Memorandum of Understanding with China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Commercialization Search for Culture Power Committee, with the aim of fostering collaboration between China and Italy in the fields of art, culture, tourism, education, technology and environment in line with the themes of the next international forum, World Forum to Change through Dialogue, promoted by the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, organized by the Center for Studies and International Meetings of which the Life Beyond Tourism Movement is an official partner (Florence, 13-15 March 2020).

 

The cultural area of ​​the fair was definitely the most visited one where our Italian companies exhibited their products and territorial expressions of the territory: from food excellences with Assocantuccini (Association of producers of the recognized Cantucci Toscani IGP), La Provenzale (confectionery company that selects the best raw materials respecting ancient recipes and artisan processing methods), Dalma (producers of Tuscan organic olive oil on the hills of Fiesole), Salumificio Lombardi (producer of typical Tuscan salamis since 1923), Sale Ideale (production and wholesale sale of salt with low sodium content) and Tenuta di Moriano (wine estate and agriturismo in Chianti); and still the best Italian men’s suits and outerwear represented by Via Piana, organic cosmetics based on Tuscan extra virgin olive oil IGP and damask rose essential oil produced by Idea Toscana, the Florentine artistic handicraft works of the company Tirinnanzi with its trays decorated with neoclassical floral motifs and Tuscan landscapes and the bags of Sapaf Atelier, which since 1954 has made handcrafted bags and leather accessories in collaboration with major international brands.

 

For the hospitality sector the Centro Congressi al Duomo, the seat of practical application of Life Beyond Tourism with Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio and Laurus al Duomo hotels in Florence, B&B Hotels the budget hotel chain with 3 hotels in Florence, the Ars Hotel group with the hospitality of two boutique hotels in the historic center of Florence and Mugel Travel, Tour Operator and travel agency also present on the Chinese market. To complete the delegation, two other affiliate members: Casartigiani, an association that represents the handicraft and small and medium-sized businesses of the Sardinian territory, the Historic Association Central Market of Florence – a venue for the Florentines with historical culture and traditions of flavors in the historic location close to the Basilica of San Lorenzo. Finally, China 2000, a company that promotes and sells Made in Italy products and services in China, and the Casa di Dante Museum in Florence, which preserves documents and other discoveries from the Florentine poet.
