Project Description
Florence in the World is a traveling photo exhibition designed to showcase the lesser-known details and nuances of Florence’s cultural and territorial heritage. By moving beyond the city’s iconic — and often overcrowded — landmarks, the initiative aims to expand international understanding of Florence’s diverse and rich identity.
After its debut in Florence, the exhibition traveled to several universities around the world, where it was shared with students from different cultural backgrounds. Each university was invited to respond with a photographic narrative of their own territory, following the same storytelling approach we proposed. These reciprocal narratives fostered cross-cultural dialogue and awareness.
Alongside the exhibition, host universities organized Info Days and hands-on workshops to deepen students’ engagement with their local heritage and explore innovative forms of visual storytelling as tools for education and cultural promotion.
