The World in Florence

Heritage: Peace & Move

The World in Florence is an international festival launched in 2021 as a concrete outcome of the appeal “Building Peace through Heritage”.
Over four years, it has evolved into a global laboratory for intercultural dialogue, responsible tourism, and territorial storytelling, involving more than 40 countries.

The 2025 edition, Heritage: Peace & Move, marked the conclusion of the first five-year cycle and the beginning of a new phase focused on sharing results, practices, and experiences generated through the festival.

Storytellathon

Telling Territories to Understand Peoples

Storytellathon 2025 explored how storytelling can become a tool for change, connection, and the discovery of the cultural soul of places.

Conceived as a global creative challenge, the Storytellathon brought together students, educators, institutions, and local communities to generate narratives where cultural heritage meets imagination, technology, and community engagement.

The 2025 edition resulted in a diverse collection of stories, perspectives, and creative outputs that demonstrate how storytelling can amplify local identities and foster intercultural dialogue beyond borders.

Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco

Life Beyond Tourism

Life Beyond Tourism is a philosophy and ethic conceived by the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation. At its core, It believes in building peace through heritage — a journey made possible when sincere dialogue flows across cultures, especially in the shared beauty of World Heritage Sites.

Through this approach, these sites can become active places of encounter and understanding, rather than passive tourist destinations. In doing so, we open the door to developing new products or services that are not directly tied to heritage, but made possible by it—encouraging sustainable and meaningful local growth.
