Everyone is welcome to join Life Beyond Tourism!
In particular, the Life Beyond Tourism Community consists of three areas of membership, at different levels and in response to different motivational thrusts:
a. The tourist industry and commercial activities who operates in relation to the hospitality and leisure indurstry
b. Institutional players such as Cultural Institutions, Academies, Local Authorities, Associations, Foundations, etc … that work towards the protection of heritage, culture, and local territory.
c. Individual players
c 1. Anyone who, either through their education or their personal sensitivity, wishes to experience, and debate with, different cultures and to acquire in-depth knowledge of, and familiarity with, the identity and the history of the visited places
c 2. Any scholars or thinkers who consider intercultural exchange to be a basic tool for promoting civil and civic growth.

Membership for public bodies and institutions requires completion of the Registration Form, which includes approval of the Manifesto, of the Terms of Use. Those organizations that sign the above documents are automatically assigned an entry in the Travel Section (if they operate in the tourist industry, or in related professional associations, businesses, museums, theaters and so forth) or in the Heritage Section (if they are government or non-governmental institutions, universities, research centers, cultural institutes, international associations and so forth).
The rating system give to the market the possibility of evaluating and/or commenting the relevant structures.
Individual membership requires the aspiring member to sign the Registration Form, which includes approval of the Manifesto, of the Terms of Use of the Life Beyond Tourism® Community. Individual membership does not include the right to a published private entry in the Directory, but it does allow to particpate to the Life Beyond Tourism Tools and Activity below.
TOOLS and ACTIVITIES
Tool for the diffusion and development of Life Beyond Tourism is the Web 2.0, through a network of contacts and activities called Life Beyond Tourism System: the main website is the present portal-community, which offers the following benefits:
a. Higher Profile and Visibility
a1. for the business or institution in its dedicated directory, devoted to those who operate in the world of culture and/or cultural tourism.
a2. for its events and activities in the showcase devoted to the events
b. Networking
b1. with countless international travelers interested in tourism based on awareness of values and on sharing their travel experiences
b2. in the area where the business or institution operates, thus contributing to the establishment of a local and international network of players eager to develop and to improve the quality of their activity.
The main website and Directory also includes all the activities proposed in the context of Life Beyond Tourism, such as: the Events, the Workshops, the Awards, the Blog, the Forum, the Photoblog, a group on Facebook, and a profile on Twitter!
